The leading AWWA in the central province
Women trying to claim that social upheaval based Akurana Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA) 2010 of the year – one in the competitions in the Central Province has excellent functional tarp sorority. Nuwara Eliya, Kandy & Matale topped among women’s club in the district in a number of its growth path.
On June 3, 2001 started with eight members of the association, currently the members constituting the hundred women, carrying out multiple tasks.
In particular Education, Health, Culture & Economic its members in the fields & carrying out numerous projects. Treatment Programs for women who abstain, childcare oriented events, Sinhala & Computer Classes for women, including domestic demand period conducting various awareness programs are being conducted by government level. This association a variety of events leads to the women. In addition, in 2002 the Radio Muslim Akurana Service “Mather Majilis” a one hour show live broadcasts of the primary receiving some of their tasks, the program is designed to demonstrate special talents in the fields of education to girls.
The society in the past, numerous success & achievements have been found. In particular, the focus in 2008 was the second women‘s association Akurana was elected at regional level, with the some tournament in 2009, 2010 & reached number one in the years to receive. As well “Kurinicitten” fusion issued in the name of the association Home Gardening, Preparation of Food Products, such as Clothing Projects with the many participants of the members today who are involved the following important growth for the path.
