WHO WE ARE ?

Akurana Women’s Welfare Association (AWWA) is a women’s organization that caters primarily to the welfare of its members who are women from Akurana region. AWWA has a membership of 150 of whom some are active. It was founded in 1981.

Our Mission

Through conducting projects on Religion, Education, Culture, Health and developing a good societal structure through small skills industry, home garden increasing the family income and contributing for the economic development of the country

AWWA undertook work under educational, health, environmental, small industries and vocational training, cultural, religious and social programs. These projects were often done in collaboration with the AGA office, the Pradeshiya Sabhawa,
