Organizational Structure of AWWA
Akurana Women’s welfare Association is organized with a committee which includes seven sub-committees. And there is an Advisory Committee called “Senate” which consists senior members including the life time patron of AWWA. The following diagram shows the organizational structure of the association

Registration
Akurana Womens Welfare Association is registered at the Akurana Divisional Secretariat as a Voluntary Community Service Organization. It is also registered at the Ministry of Womens Affairs under these registration numbers .

Reporting
Record keeping is systematic at AWWA. The Secretary keeps records of all official activities. An annual report of activiities is recorded by hand in our record books. The treasurer provides a detailed report of financial undertakings every year at the Annual General Meeting. A coordinator for each sub-committee also a file for activities. In addition all matters are discussed in the Monthly Meeting of AWWA.
The constitution of AWWA
The constitution of Akurana Women’s Welfare Association is developed in 2001. It is organized into five main divisions as name of the association, objectives, limitations, Membership, Executive Board. There are 12 objectives and the ultimate goal of them is to enhance empowerment of women and national development.
The amendment process of the constitution can be done only with the preference of 2/3 majority of the general assembly.
